/verysilent /norestart is still working on K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 4.9.5, 5.0.0, 5.0.5 and 5.1.0 !

Notes: Shared "notes from the field" covering how to handle the automated installation of this software.

I use this script to deploy the K-Lite Codec Pack over AD using a GPO.

1. Download the latest codec pack from Free-codecs.com. Choose between Basic, Standard, Full and Corporate.

2. Run the downloaded exe-file with the -Makeunattended switch and follow the on-screen instructions exactly.

3. Move the exe, ini and bat-files to your AD-deployment network share. I personally change the bat-filename to use a .cmd-extensionen instead.

4. Create a GPO and point it to the network share in paragraph 3.

5. Link the newly created GPO to the appropriate OU and start deploying it.

The install script for K-Lite 4.9.5 still works with K-Lite 5.0.0f.
